Our Ministries

Pioneer's Ministry has a dual purpose. One is to care for each other. Our pastor and our members visit those who are hospitalized or confined to their homes or other care centers. In addition to our worship life, we have women's and men's fellowships as well as get-togethers for all ages.

Our Community

Pioneer also cares for the community and beyond. Here are just a few of the ways Pioneer serves others: CROPWALK for the hungry, Sacramento Downtown Food Basket, Church World Service, Interfaith Service Bureau and countless programs through Our Churches Wider Mission (OCWM).

Deacon's Fund

Our Deacon's Fund has two uses. First, it exists to help Pioneer members or attendees, or others referred by members, who find themselves in emergency need of food, heat, shelter, or related assistance. Second, any balances that are not carried over from one month to another are donated to River City Community Services, the neighborhood food pantry to which our monthly food basket donations are also given.

"But he who peers into the perfect law that belongs to freedom and who persists in it, this man, because he has become, not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, will be happy in his doing it." ~James 1:25~
